Out of nowhere on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN announced that the Panthers had agreed to a deal to trade wide receiver Diontae Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens along with a 6th-round Pick in exchange for a 2025 5th-round Pick. While the team had been having conversations with teams over the past couple of weeks about him, I don’t think many expected them to move him a week before the deadline or for as little net compensation as they got.
Among those who were surprised by the timing and compensation of the trade were Wes and Walker, who broke the news on WFNZ airwaves.
