Can the Panthers bounce back from two embarrassing performances in Week 3.
Welcome or welcome back to our weekly game pick series where I, in place of Walker this week, will attempt to guide you through picking this weekend’s game between the Carolina Panthers and the Las Vegas Raiders. The Panthers have been easy bet in the first two weeks, and by that I mean they were easy to bet against. But they’ve made changes to potentially fix that.
The decision to bench Bryce Young in favor of Andy Dalton has moved the line a point and a half closer to the Panthers, which says a lot about what the gambling world thinks about Young. I’m in agreement with those bettors. I think Dalton makes the Panthers a much more competitive group and at the very least should be able to keep the game close against a Raiders team that probably isn’t as good as last week’s win over the Ravens would suggest. With that, my FanDuel pick for Week 3 is the Carolina Panthers plus 5.5 points.
The new starting quarterback has rejuvenated the fan base and will likely do the same for players on both sides of the ball that have undoubtedly grown weary of the poor play under center. It’s a prime spot for the Panthers to catch lightning in a bottle against a team that’s in a bit of a letdown spot after their upset win on the road last week.
