There’s no denying that Bryce Young has looked like a different QB, since taking back over for Andy Dalton five weeks ago, after Dalton injured his thumb in a car accident. Young, led Carolina to back-to-back wins, for the first time since 2021, and most recently went throw for throw, against Patrick Mahomes, and Baker Mayfield. Dave Canales, who decided to bench Bryce after the loss to the Chargers in Week 2, has received praise for making a decision that’ll most likely save Young’s NFL career, and in the process, Canales is proving to be the QB whisperer we were sold on, upon being hired away from Tampa Bay.

The resurgence of Bryce Young has been a major talking about around the NFL the last couple of weeks, and one of those talking heads includes Trevor Sikkema from Pro Football Focus, who has followed Bryce closely back to his days at Alabama. Earlier today, Sikkema joined the Mac & Bone Show, on WFNZ to talk about his resurgence, what has stood out about Bryce Young since he returned to the starting lineup, how he has faired according to their analytics, and what he has to do the rest of the way to prove to be the franchise QB for the Panthers.
You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday from 6-10 AM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ, and the WFNZ app.
