Another week of football has wrapped up, and the Dallas Cowboys, surprising absolutely no one, are still spiraling.
Sitting at 3-6, Jerry Jones’ control of just about every aspect of the team hasn’t allowed them to prosper, and neither has his threat to a local radio host who grilled him.
Now there’s Micah Parsons, who was upset after a 34-6 loss to the Eagles when he said he felt terrible for his veteran teammates because they “put in more time and work than [head coach] Mike McCarthy ever did.”
Since it’s pretty clear that the staffing will have a shakeup before next season begins, host Samaria Terry ponders whether it’s time for Deion Sanders to make the jump from college to the NFL.
As for cohost Rodney Rikai, he thinks it’d be a terrible career move for coach Prime.
“Hell no. Who wants to work on a plantation? You can not be a head coach under this iteration of the Jones family. It’s a recipe for disaster,” Rikai said. “I don’t know if Deion will stay at Colorado because his sons and Travis Hunter won’t be there. So maybe he’ll go down to Florida State or some other programs. I think what Deion does well is [coach] collegiate athletes. I don’t know how it would translate to professional athletes.”
Samaria envisions Deion making a leap to the pros because this will be the first time he hasn’t coached his sons, and Sheduer has a chance to get drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, if not the New York Giants.
Next, the hosts discuss one of the weekend’s biggest events: Jon Jones’ MMA fight with Stipe Miocic.
The crew even had our very own iOne Digital Men’s Editor, D.L. Chandler, to offer some expertise on what might go down in the cage.
“He’s pretty much considered the GOAT of MMA, but not just in his division. Remember, he dominated the light heavyweight division in the UFC and had no competition, so he had to move up to fight better fighters. Then he ran into some tough guys, but he took care of them easily,” said Chandler. “Jones has way too many weapons. He’s had some trouble outside the ring, but inside, he was flawless, and he’ll have to be against Stipe.”
We also discussed the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight with boxer Shannon Briggs, and the champ gave some great and hilarious insight.
