The week is wrapping up, and it’s been a busy week in sports media.
On the latest episode of The Fumble, our hosts Rodney Rikai and Samaria Terry first got into some sports drama because Davante Adams revealed he wants out of Sin City and no longer wants to play for the 2-2 Las Vegas Raiders. He’s been there for a few seasons but is most known for the Green Bay Packers. While there, he was an excellent target for Aaron Rodgers, and the NFL reports that he wants a reunion with the 40-year-old quarterback and to join him on the New York Jets.
Like last week, despite Caitlin Clark not being in the postseason, she’s still one of the hottest topics in the WNBA alongside fellow rookie Angel Reese.
WNBA legend Sue Bird explained where the Clark hate train originated, tracking it back to Diana Taurasi’s Scott Van Pelt interview when she warned that it would be hard for her to adjust to the WNBA.
“And what started there was this narrative of petty, jealous players, hating on Caitlin,” Bird said on her A Touch More podcast.
The hosts then dive back into the NFL, with veteran linebacker Von Miller getting suspended for four games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Then, Samaria breaks down who she thinks won the Minnesota Timberwolves trade, which saw Karl Anthony Towns take his talent to the Knicks in exchange for Julius Randle and break up the Nova Knicks by dealing Donte DiVincenzo as well.
We also chopped it up with the CEO and co-founder of AllHipHop.com, Chuck Creekmore, hip-hop taking center stage at the Super Bowl LIX with Kendrick Lamar performing at the Halftime show, and more.
