Check out my prediction for Week 3’s tilt between the Falcons and Chiefs, and have your own conversations about it.
I’m writing this before the Carolina Panthers take on the Las Vegas Raiders. If that game didn’t make you quit football forever and you’ve stuck around to watch Sunday night, you’ll get to see Panthers’ division rival Atlanta Falcons take on the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. The Falcons pulled off a dramatic Monday night victory over the Eagles last week in the most anti-Falcons way possible. We’ll see if they can do the same against Patrick Mahomes.
As always in our brave new world of expansive sports gambling, it is now easier to bet on games than to watch them. You can catch current odds on all NFL games for Week 1 here on FanDuel.
The Falcons have been hot and cold with a little more cold than hot to start the season. Still they managed to pull a win from nowhere on the road in Philadelphia. It was a very Chiefs-like win, and now they host those Chiefs as three point home underdogs. The Chiefs are 2-0 but haven’t been dominant by any means. They were a toenail away from going to overtime against the Ravens and needed a defensive pass interference on 4th and 16 to extend their game winning drive in Week 2.
It has all the makings for a game that will be decided by a last second field goal, so I’m going to take the Falcons +3.
Now the floor is yours. As always, use this space to talk about the action as it unfolds.
You know the drill.
