Steve Smith Reacts To The Benching Of Bryce Young

Following the Panthers 26-3 loss to the Chargers on Sunday the team announced the benching of starting QB Bryce Young. Former Panthers great Steve Smith joined Kyle Bailey to react to the Panthers loss as well as the benching of the former number-one overall pick.

When asked about the Panthers deciding to bench Bryce Young after only 2 games into his 2nd year Steve told Kyle that any decision of this nature is difficult especially when you gave up that much for the player. He also thinks they made the decision now the bench him so they could evaluate the team and not lose him completely.

The focus would also shift onto the locker room’s role in this decision, and what is with so many offenses struggling to start the football season.
