(WJW) – Former Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily welcomed a baby girl to their family earlier this week.
Emily took to Instagram Saturday to let the world know the good news:
“Baby girl joined us Tuesday night just before 7:30pm,” Emily wrote on the stories feature. “She is truly everything we prayed for, and more. We’re enjoying life as a family of 4 – Fergus [their dog] is so gentle & curious.”
And what did the proud parents name their new progeny? Kova Jade Mayfield.

Posted along with a sweet photo of Baker holding little Kova, Emily wrote: “My heart could explode at any minute, I swear, Bake was born to be a dad.”
Baker, 28, currently plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was with the Carolina Panthers in 2022.
The couple was married in 2019 and announced Emily’s pregnancy back in December.
