Gauging the depth of each round with community input
Yesterday we kicked off a one-week series where we ask you what you think the deepest position will be in a given round of the draft. This is a game covering the entire NFL, so don’t focus on the what the Carolina Panthers need.
The winner of yesterday’s poll was edge, with 48% of the vote. Defensive line was a solid second place with 35% of the vote. That means that we will drop edge players from the poll for the rest of the game,
We now move onto the second round of the 2025 NFL draft. Value changes from round to round, so defensive linemen may not be the obvious choice to follow edge players. There are a ton of borderline first round prospects in this year’s draft who could easily go in the first round with a run on, say, tackles or wide receivers, or fall into the third. Team evaluations are reportedly all over the place. Will one of those groups fill out the second round or will teams jump at the talent in the running back group after skipping most of that class in the first round? Vote below and let us know what you think.
