A quick look at the best Carolina Panthers bets on FanDuel
Another week, another series of Carolina Panthers prop bets on FanDuel. The Panthers take on the Las Vegas Raiders in a game in which they are now 5.5 point underdogs. That’s shifted by a point and a half since the news came out that Andy Dalton would be starting at quarterback.
With Dalton at quarterback, there’s reason to be hopeful that the offense will be more competent, which means more chances for scores, which means more chances to hit on some props.
Any time touchdown
Chuba Hubbard +220
Hubbard has the best odds to score of any Panther, but he still provides a decent payout if he hits. The Panthers want to run the ball if they can stay in games close, and Hubbard is the team’s bowling ball in short yardage situations. He’ll have a chance to score if the Panthers can get the ball inside the five.
Diontae Johnson +270
Johnson was acquired by the Panthers with promises of being the team’s go-to wide receiver. That hasn’t happened through two games. The coaching staff and veteran quarterback Andy Dalton will probably be happy to try to feed Johnson is first touchdown as a Panther if they can. I don’t know how confident I’d be in this bet given the payout.
Andy Dalton passing touchdowns
The odds for one Dalton touchdown are -280, which suggests that the oddsmakers think it’s highly likely he’s going to toss one. There are plus odds for everything after that, so there’s money to be made if you’re confident in the Red Rifle tossing multiple TDs.
Adam Thielen alternate receiving yards
You can pick a receiving yardage you think Thielen will surpass, and there are various odds for the different totals. It’s +140 for over 50 yards. That’s a very attainable number for a vet that will serve as a safety blanket for fellow vet Andy Dalton. For reference, he had 11 catches for 145 yards with Dalton under center against the Seahawks last season.
Panthers first drive result
Not a player prop, but an interesting prop nonetheless. You can get +450 for a touchdown and +410 for a field goal attempt if you think the Panthers are going to come out hot with their new quarterback.
