CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CHARLOTTE SPROTS LIVE) — Panthers rookie receiver Xavier Legette has been ruled out of Sunday’s against the Cardinals for a hip injury, the team reported Friday.
Legette left last week’s game in the second half and didn’t return, and he’s been out of practice all week. The team’s top draft pick in 2024 was already slated to have offseason wrist surgery.
With three games remaining, Legette leads the Panthers (3-11) with 451 catches, 439 receiving yards and four touchdowns through the air.
The Panthers reported having several other starters listed as questionable, including two offensive linemen. Left tackle Ikem Ekwonu and right guard Robert Hunt didn’t participate in Friday’s practice because of illness. Defensive end A’Shawn Robinson (knee) was also held out Friday and is questionable.
Wide receivers David Moore (concussion) and Jalen Coker (quadriceps) are also questionable. Moore was a full participant Friday and Coker was limited.
Outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee) is also listed as questionable, but he was a full participant Friday.
The Panthers kickoff against the Cardinals (7-7) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bank of America Stadium.
