The Carolina Panthers are going to need all the help they can get this Sunday. And luckily for them, they may be getting back their leading receiver from a year ago.
Wideout Adam Thielen could be in line to make his return in Week 12, when the Panthers host the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. That prospect was brought up this afternoon by head coach Dave Canales, who also said he expects rookie running back Jonathon Brooks to make his NFL debut this weekend.
“I fully expect JB to make his debut this week against the Chiefs,” Canales told reporters after Monday’s practice. “Again, we have some practices to go through to make sure that we’re ready to go there. Same thing with [Adam] Thielen. Just get ’em out there. They were running around today. We’ll have a couple of practices to make that decision. But my hope is to have both of those guys out there on Sunday.”
Thielen has missed the last seven games due to a hamstring injury, one he sustained while reeling in a 31-yard touchdown pass in the team’s Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
