NEW ORLEANS, LA (BLACK & BLUE KICKOFF LIVE) — Football is back! After a long off-season of changes and training, now’s the time to put it to the test.
Last year and the years past don’t matter anymore. It’s about 2024, starting with Week 1, led by the new Dan Morgan and Dave Canales regime and second-year quarterback Bryce Young.
The defense is led by veteran captains Derrick Brown, Shaq Thompson and Sam Franklin. That trio led by coordinator Ejiro Evero were part of a stout defense that allowed the least amount of passing yards among all teams in 2023.
The Saints return a lot of the same pieces from the previous including quarterback Derek Carr, running back Alvin Kamara and head coach Dennis Allen.
In 2023, the Saints were top 10 in the NFL in completion percentage passing touchdowns.
Carolina lost both of its games against the Saints in 2023 and trail the all-time series 28 to 31.
