The Panthers face the Jets in the preseason after several joint practices
The Carolina Panthers make their home preseason debut in at Bank of America Stadium against the New York Jets at 7:00 on Saturday, August 17th.
Head coach Dave Canales has said that he wants to get his starters some live action during the preseason, but has not committed to that coming against the Jets this weekend. We’ll have to stay tuned to see if we’ll see Bryce Young in action with the NFL’s most expensive offensive line, Xavier Legette, and all the rest.
Don’t expect to see the starters for more than a quarter, though. I wouldn’t bet on more than two or three series for the offense. There is a balance between getting that first hit in and finding yourself on injured reserve for the season. Tomorrow night is still going to be mostly about giving those guys battling for the last handful of roster spots a chance to shine.
