TAMPA, FL. (BLACK & BLUE KICKOFF LIVE) — The Panthers have back-to-back games on the road against divisional opponents to end its 2024 campaign. The road trip starts on Sunday against the Buccaneers and ends the Sunday after against the Falcons, both of which are tied atop the NFC South.
The Panthers will be without both of its young running backs Chuba Hubbard and Jonathon Brooks. Week 17 could be a good game to really explore the passing attack and build some momentum heading into 2025.
Carolina ranks bottom five this season in completion percentage (62%), passing yards (2,938), and passing touchdowns (17). Meanwhile, Tampa Bay has allowed the fourth-most passing yards this season. In the first meeting back on Dec. 1, Young threw for 298 yards which is the most he’s thrown for in a game so far this season.
The Buccaneers, for only being 8-7, have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, statistically. Through 15 games, it’s scored 50 offensive touchdowns- fifth most in the NFL behind high-powered offenses in the Lions, Ravens, Bills, and Bengals.
The Panthers are now 25-23 all-time against the Bucs, 12-11 when the game is in Tampa Bay.
