The Carolina Panthers are about to have themselves a little more green this offseason.
As first reported by ESPN’s Dan Graziano on Wednesday, the NFL has informed teams that the 2025 per-team salary cap space will end up in the ballpark of $277.5 million to $281.5 million. That range would surpass last year’s record-breaking cap, $255.4 million, by at least $22.1 million.

So, what does this mean for the Panthers and their resources this offseason?
Earlier projections for the 2025 salary cap would’ve had Carolina at approximately $20.9 million of space. But now, according to Over The Cap, they’d be sitting on at least $24.8 million.
Following the re-signings of backup quarterback Andy Dalton and longtime long snapper JJ Jansen, the Panthers currently have 28 players set to enter free agency.
Carolina is also expected to explore an extension for Pro Bowl cornerback Jaycee Horn, who will be playing the upcoming campaign on his fifth-year option.
