Reports from the NFL say Carolina sent a 2025 7th-round pick to Dallas in exchange for a 2025 4th-round pick.
In 24 games with the Panthers, Mingo has totaled 55 catches, 539 receiving yards and zero touchdowns.
The Panthers still have young wide receivers in Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker, as well as Adam Thielen who is expected to be back from injury soon.
Legette has scored four touchdowns this season, three of which have come in the last four games. He leads the team in catches (26) and receiving touchdowns.
Rookie tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders has also been carving out a bigger role in the receiving game as he now leads the team in receiving yards (245) this season. In Sunday’s win over the Saints, he had four catches for 87 yards.
After this trade, the Panthers now have nine picks in April’s draft, eight of which are in the first five rounds.
