Carolina is working on the first problem in their front seven before getting to the new one
The Carolina Panthers are signing veteran outside linebacker/EDGE player Charles Harris to bolster their woeful pass rush in the wake of Sunday’s loss to the New Orleans Saints and Monday’s loss of Derrick Brown for an extended time.

Harris was a first round draft pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, he spent one season with the Atlanta Falcons, before settling for three seasons with the Detroit Lions. He was a team captain with the Lions.
He has not been a full season starter for any team that he has played for, with the exception of the 2021 Lions. He posted a career high 7.5 sacks that season. He has 16.5 sacks in his career.
Harris is not going to be an overnight solution to the 47 points the Panthers gave up last week. He will provide a veteran presence opposite Jadaveon Clowney while the team anxiously awaits the return of Amare Barno and D.J. Wonnum. It is unclear at this team if they will also be looking to sign a defender to fill in for Brown’s defensive tackle/end role.
