CHARLOTTE (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — On the first day NFL teams are allowed to talk to free agents and their representatives, the Carolina Panthers reportedly agreed to sign offensive lineman Robert Hunt, according to multiple reports from around the league.
Hunt, 27, was a second-round draft pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2020 and started in 55 of the 61 games he played for them.
Reports say the Panthers are paying him $100 million over five years with $63 million guaranteed.
The Panthers needed to sure up the offensive line after reportedly releasing Bradley Bozeman and giving up the second-most sacks in 2023 (65).
According to Pro Football Focus, Hunt gave up just one sack on 547 offensive snaps paid.
