The first of these two injuries occurred on November 11, 2023, during Brooks’ time with the University of Texas. Despite the challenge of rehabilitating a torn ACL, he managed to impress NFL scouts enough to secure a spot in the league. The Panthers saw him as a player with enormous potential, showcasing speed, agility, and a physical style of play that could make him a key contributor.
Unfortunately, this second injury interrupts Brooks’ effort to make a name for himself in the NFL.
Non-contact ACL tears are often unpredictable and underscore how fragile a football career can be, even for the most talented athletes. For Brooks, it’s another uphill battle toward recovery and proving he can bounce back stronger.
The Panthers depth at running back will now face additional strain.
The road ahead for Jonathon Brooks is steep, but if his resilience in overcoming the first ACL tear is any indication, he won’t back down from this challenge.
