CHARLOTTE (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — After Tuesday’s cuts to get to the initial 53-man roster, the Panthers weren’t done making moves.
On Wednesday, Carolina added six players who were waived by other teams and signed nine players previously cut to its practice squad.
Players claimed from waivers
- Former Buccaneers cornerback Keenan Isaac
- Former Jets cornerback Shemar Bartholomew
- Former Washington cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields
- Former Seahawks outside linebacker Jamie Sheriff
- Former Seahawks linebacker Jon Rhattigan
- Former 49ers guard Jarrett Kingston
To make room for these players, the Panthers waived WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette, G Cade Mays, CB D’Shawn Jamison, DT Jayden Peevy, WR Jalen Coker, and S Demani Richardson

All nine of those players were with the Panthers in training camp and part of Tuesday’s moves for the initial 53-man roster. Teams can sign up to 16 players to the practice squad, including one international exception.
