Transactions
Signed OLB Tarron Jackson to the active roster. Originally a 2021 sixth round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles, Jackson has appeared in 21 career games with 18 tackles and one sack.
Signed TE Feleipe Franks to the active roster. The former quarterback turned tight end continues to stick around in Carolina. He has appeared in both of the Panthers games this year playing a total of four offensive snaps. His only stat as a Panthers is an offensive facemask penalty.
Signed OLB Eku Leota to the practice squad. The 2023 undrafted free agent appeared in eight games for the Panthers last year and recorded four tackles. This season he has appeared in both of Carolina’s games with four tackles and a sack.
Signed TE Jordan Matthews to the practice squad. The veteran was released by the Panthers on Tuesday then re-signed to the practice squad on Wednesday.
Signed S Russ Yeast to the practice squad. Yeast was a 2022 seventh round pick by the Los Angeles Rams. In his first two NFL seasons he appeared in 32 games with 10 starts, recording an impressive 81 tackles and five passes defended. Many reports call the release of the young, promising player “surprising”. The Panthers were smart to scoop him up with the hopes that Yeast’s career will continue to rise in Carolina. Pun intended.
