“The Red Rifle” is sticking around in Charlotte.
On Tuesday, the Carolina Panthers announced the re-signing of quarterback Andy Dalton. The 37-year-old veteran, per ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, will be back on a two-year, $8 million deal with a maximum value of $10 million.
Not bad for one of the game’s best backup quarterbacks, right?
Well, let’s see what Panthers fans think . . .
Andy was one of the people I wanted them to resign…he’s such a good mentor to Bryce

If Bryce is the guy they’re/we’re betting on, he doesn’t need a mentor.
If Bryce is legit that guy – it’s winning time!
It’s time to build the roster to win.
We don’t need a QB mentor at QB2 anymore.
We need performance insurance at QB2.

Dalton isn’t a mentor. He’s there to take Bryce’s job again and not lose this time from a car accident. He’s going to compete like he always has. https://t.co/NajwLdDEJl
