CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Chuba Hubbard will continue to be the marquee running back for the Carolina Panthers for a few more years thanks to a contract extension that was announced on Thursday.
The deal goes through 2028 and while financial terms of the deal were not released by the club, the deal is said to be a max value worth a reported $37.2 million with $15 million guaranteed.
On Wednesday, Morgan alluded to the deal, saying: “We’re definitely working towards some stuff right now that we’re excited about.”
The 25-year-old Canadian native out of Oklahoma State has racked up 655 yards and is tied for the most touchdowns on the team (6). He is already the club’s 6th all-time rushing leader with 2,645 yards.
The Panthers are in Germany to face the Giants in Munich on Sunday (9:30 a.m., NFL Network).
