The Carolina Panthers have added some depth in the backfield and in the trenches ahead of tomorrow’s matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
As announced by the team on Saturday afternoon, running back Mike Boone and offensive lineman Brandon Walton have been elevated from the practice squad for Week 16. Both are standard elevations.

This marks Boone’s second consecutive call-up, as the Panthers look to fill the void left behind by the season-ending ACL tear to rookie and second-round pick Jonathon Brooks. The seventh-year veteran, who rushed for 14 yards on a pair of carries in Week 15, recorded three offensive snaps and five special-teams snaps in last week’s 30-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Walton appeared in the Panthers’ Week 6 outing against the Atlanta Falcons. He played four snaps on special teams in the 38-20 defeat.
