We’re counting down the days until the Panthers kick off the 2024 season.
We’re exactly one month away from the first game of the season for the Carolina Panthers. That’s 31 days to be exact. With that we look at #31 for the Panthers, “no not that one” Lamar Jackson.
Jackson went undrafted in 2020 after an All Big Ten senior season at Nebraska. He signed on with the Jets, where he spent two seasons bouncing back and forth between the practice squad and the active roster. He moved on to the Bears in 2022 and has had short stints with the Broncos and Chiefs.
The Panthers added Jackson to their practice squad early in the 2023 season, and that’s where he spent almost all of his time. He was elevated for one game, the week 12 loss to the Tennessee Titans, and played 11 snaps on special teams.
Jackson has truly grinded his way into an NFL career. He currently finds himself on the second string of the Panthers depth chart, so he has a real chance to stick on the final roster.
