We’re counting down the days until the Panthers kick off the 2024 season.
We’re officially 23 days away from the Carolina Panthers kicking off the 2024 NFL season against the New Orleans Saints. It will be their second consecutive road opener. Now it’s time for our annual roster countdown to highlight the players on the Panthers’ roster. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the player wearing the the No. 23 jersey — CB Dane Jackson.
A seventh round pick in 2020 by the Buffalo Bills, Jackson was reportedly an athlete that new general manager Dan Morgan, then the Bills Director of Player Personnel, banged the table for. Since then, Jackson has played 50% or more of his team’s defensive snaps. He even started most of the 2022 season for the Bills.
Jackson was viewed as a starting cornerback by the Carolina Panthers, a replacement for the now departed Donte Jackson. Unfortunately for them, Dane Jackson pulled a hamstring during a joint practice with the New York Jets, an injury that will sideline him for “six weeksish.”
Stephon Gilmore watch is back on, y’all.
