We’re counting down the days until the Panthers kick off the 2024 season.
We’re officially 22 days away from the Carolina Panthers kicking off the 2024 NFL season against the New Orleans Saints. It will be their second consecutive road opener. Now it’s time for our annual roster countdown to highlight the players on the Panthers’ roster. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the player wearing the the No. 22 jersey — S Jammie Robinson
Robinson joined the Panthers last year as the 145th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The two-time, first-team All-ACC safety spent time in college at the University of South Carolina and Florida State. Physically, Robinson is a fast and strong player, if a little undersized.
Last season, Robinson saw action in 15 games, starting two at safety. He played in 7% of the defensive snaps and 70% of the team’s special teams snaps.
The Panthers depth chart currently lists Robinson only as the third safety. Between injuries and a lack of proven depth across the secondary, he has the opportunity to step up in his second season and earn not only a roster spot, but a significant slice of playing time as well.
How about it Panthers fans, what do you expect from Robinson this season? Scroll on down to the comments and share your thoughts with us!
