He was a fifth round pick in the 2019 NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He ended that season with the Detroit Lions and was traded to the New England Patriots in 2020. By this time he had appeared in two career games.
In 2021, he was on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. In 2022 he started all 17 games for the Seahawks, notching 75 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. He also picked up a blocked field goal and returned it 85-yards for a touchdown. He started only four games in 2022, but appeared in all 17.
He was traded to the Panthers this offseason in exchange for Michael Barret, the Panthers seventh round pick in the 2024 NFL draft and was one of the few corners to survive the waiver wire purge and restructuring of his position group.
