Manny Diaz On His Goals For The Duke Blue Devils

The Duke Blue Devils started the 2024 football season last Friday with a 26-3 win over Elon, marking the first win for new HC Manny Diaz. Coach Diaz joined Kyle Bailey as he discussed his goals for Duke and the upcoming challenges the Blue Devils face.

Manny started by looking back on Friday’s win. He was happy with very few missed assignments, which stood out because of the new systems the players had to learn, and the effort was there. Manny also pointed out that a good thing is that his players are past the knowing what to do phase and are now in the how to do it phase, which is encouraging.

The conversation with Coach Diaz ventured into the potential of QB Maalik Murphy, as well as the challenges of this Friday’s game against Northwestern.
