Manny Diaz On His Eventful First Year At Duke

While Manny Diaz’s first season at Duke is not officially over, it has been a strong start. The former Penn State DC started 9-3 and a trip to the Gator Bowl just down the road. Coach Diaz joined Kyle Bailey to recap the year and discuss how the Devils are already excited for 2025.

Despite this season’s success, starting QB Maalik Murphy entered the transfer portal to go to Oregon State. Still, Diaz and the Blue Devils moved quickly to get a QB from the transfer portal and found Tulane’s Darian Mensah to join the team for 2025. Coach Diaz told Kyle to attract a QB as young and as talented as Darian is with his poise and fit in the offense make him an outstanding addition to the Duke offense for 2025.

Coach Diaz would also go on to discuss how the transfer portal problems can be fixed, the upcoming Gator Bowl, as well as now being rivals with Bill Belichick.
