It was another sad Panther Monday on the Mac & Bone Show, after the Panthers lost to the Bucs in overtime yesterday, 26-23, to fall to 3-9 on the season. The Panthers took the lead, with 30 seconds left in the game, but allowed Tampa Bay to force OT, kicking a field goal, as time expired. In OT, the Panthers forced a missed field goal, giving them a chance to win the game, but a Chuba Hubbard fumble robbed them of that opportunity, and Tampa made them pay, connecting on a field goal inside the red zone.
That set the scene for an interesting show, as the guys continue to be encouraged by the progress they are seeing from Bryce Young, but are upset at the fact that they weren’t able to win a game, that was there for the taking. In the opening hour of the show, the guys talked through the generality of the defeat, including Chuba’s fumble in the overtime session, and the lack of aggression from the defense on the game-tying drive in regulation.

In the second hour, Mac & Bone dove deeper into the game, playing the blame game and laying blame where they deemed necessary, which didn’t exclude the refs, who missed a couple of calls, that clearly altered the outcome of the game.
