It was another disappointing Panther Monday, on the Mac & Bone Show, after Carolina fell at home to Atlanta, 38-20 yesterday afternoon, as they are now 1-5, on the 2024 season. It was a 28-20 game deep into the second half, but a costly Andy Dalton interception, combined with a worn-down defense, led to the Panthers ultimate demise, as they are now 0-2 against divisional opponents. Luckily for Mac and Bone, they have plenty of experience talking about Panthers’s losses, and they spent the majority of their show, telling you what went wrong for Carolina on Sunday.
After spending the first hour talking about the general topics from the game, the guys dived into one of their favorite games to play, the blame game, as they pointed out how much blame should go to Andy Dalton, who threw a costly interception, with the Panthers driving to score. The blame didn’t stop there though, as they said some of the blame goes on Dave Canales, for not running the football as much as they should have with Chuba Hubbard.

Also in the second hour, the guys are joined by Jim Szoke, a member of the Panthers Radio Network, and a WBT Hall of Famer, as the longtime analyst talked about the state of the defense, after allowing more points and yards, the Panthers decision to throw the ball as much as they did, and more.

And lastly, in the third hour, with the season all but over, Panther fans are once again clamoring to see Bryce Young under center, and Mac & Bone debated if now is the time to go back to the former #1 overall pick, to see if he’s worth investing in moving forward, or if the team needs to look to move on from him, after just two seasons in the NFL.
