For the third straight week, the Carolina Panthers lost a game, and once again it was a highly contested matchup, that came down to the final play, this time losing 22-16, to the Philadelphia Eagles, a team some people believe happens to be the best in the NFL. The loss drops Carolina to 3-10, but make no mistake, the close losses have put the rest of the league on notice, that this team, with Bryce Young under center, is headed in the right direction under first-year head coach Dave Canales, and general manager, Dan Morgan. And unlike the losses to start, the recent stretch of play has given Mac & Bone plenty to talk about on Panther Mondays the last month or so. Today’s show wasn’t any different.
The guys opened the show, as they always do, talking about the things that stood out in the loss, most noticeable the drops of Xavier Legette, robbing Bryce Young of another fourth-quarter comeback victory, and while Bryce didn’t get rewarded with the win, they did highlight how well he played, on the road, in a hostile environment, against a veteran defensive coordinator.
