Kurtis Rourke Played Entire 2024 Season With Torn ACL, Set For Surgery
Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke delivered a stunning performance during the 2024 college football season, playing through a torn ACL in his right knee and leading the Hoosiers to their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance.
The 6-foot-5 Canadian native, whose injury was sustained in August, refused to bow to adversity, guiding Indiana to a school-record 11-win season.
Despite the injury, Rourke showcased incredible resilience on the field, passing for 3,042 yards, 29 touchdowns, and just five interceptions.
His stellar play earned him a ninth-place finish in the Heisman Trophy race and the fifth-best QBR in the nation at 85.2.
Along the way, he also battled through a thumb surgery, missing just one game all season.
The Hoosiers ultimately fell to Notre Dame in the first round of the playoff, but their campaign was nothing short of historic.
Rourke’s toughness and determination have drawn wide admiration.
Playing on a torn ACL, an injury that typically sidelines players for months, Rourke defied expectations and never used his condition as an excuse.
NFL analysts have taken notice, with Rourke now eyeing the 2025 Draft after undergoing ACL revision surgery.
