CHARLOTTE (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — Carolina Panthers president Kristi Coleman is being named the new CEO of Tepper Sports & Entertainment.
Coleman has been the president of the Panthers since February 2022. She first joined the franchise in 2014 as a Controller to Director of Finance.
“Drawing on more than a decade of experience at this organization, Kristi is a proven leader with the insight and expertise to guide us through this pivotal moment in our evolution,” David Tepper, Owner and Executive Chairman of Tepper Sports & Entertainment, said. “Nicole and I are happy to have her in this expanded role.”
As President, Coleman negotiated the extension of the stadium’s naming rights deal with long-time partner, Bank of America. She also led the charge on the Panthers Training Camp debut in Charlotte in advance of the team’s 30th season.
As CEO, Coleman will oversee all of the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC and Bank of America Stadium.
Along with Coleman taking over as CEO, TSE has announced other organizational changes:
- A search led by Coleman for a new role of Chief Revenue Officer who will oversee all revenue-producing departments
- A new Chief Business Officer role for CLTFC to lead all soccer business operations will replace the club president title. Former president, Joe LaBue, who has been with the organization for 12 years, will transition into a consultant role. Natalee Jarrett, current VP of Business Operations at CLTFC will act as interim business lead during the search for a CBO.
- David Nelson, the current senior director of premium sales, is being promoted to the new role of vice president of premium sales & services. The company says he will lead the strategy and development related to premium hospitality and business solutions across all of TSE.
- Bonnie Almond, currently the senior director of operations & events, is being promoted to VP of venue operations. She’ll oversee all events, operations, safety, and security at TSE venues and events.
