With the month of January coming to a close, and the Super Bowl matchup officially set, the college basketball season really starts to heat up, not only here in the Carolinas but across the country as well. A sign of that is the first of two matchups between Duke and UNC, which will take place on Saturday in Cameron Indoor Stadium, as the greatest rivalry in sports is ready to write its latest chapter. The Blue Devils will be heavily favored in Saturday’s showdown, as Duke is #2 in the AP Poll, and hasn’t lost since back before Thanksgiving when they fell to Kansas on a neutral floor. Cooper Flagg has more than lived up to the hype, which is why Duke is undefeated in conference play, as we near the halfway point in the ACC season. The fact that Duke has yet to lose a game in conference play, has many college basketball pundits wondering if they are capable of going 20-0 in the ACC.

One of those pundits is former Georgia Tech head coach, Josh Pastner, who is now an analyst for ESPN and Peacock, Pastner joined the Mac & Bone Show on WFNZ earlier this morning, and he talked about and explained why he thinks Duke can go undefeated in ACC play this season, what Carolina needs to do to solidify itself as an NCAA Tournament team, and how the ACC can get a healthy number of teams into the Big Dance, and more.
You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday morning from 6-10 AM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ, and the WFNZ app.
