The Panthers season ended over a week ago, setting the stage for one of the more important off-seasons in franchise history, with the belief that the organization has found its QB to build around in Bryce Young, and the head coach to do it with, in Dave Canales. After a 1-7 start, Carolina finished the regular season 4-5, to earn a 5-12 record, more than double their win total from the year before. After being benched in Week 2, Young started the final nine games and looked like the QB coming out of Alabama, which warranted him being the #1 overall back of the 2024 NFL Draft. With Young looking the part, it’s up to general manager, Dan Morgan to build the best possible team around him, to ensure success next year and beyond.

Earlier this morning, Joe Person, who covers the Panthers for The Athletic, joined the Mac & Bone Show on WFNZ, and he discussed the upcoming off-season, and what they need to do to put the team in a position to compete for the NFC South, he talks about what area of the defense needs to be addressed, how they can continue to build around Bryce Young, and more.
You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday morning from 6-10 AM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ, and the WFNZ app.
