After back-to-back promising close losses, the Panthers returned to their early season form on Sunday as the Dallas Cowboys thoroughly handled them in Bank of America Stadium after they entered the game as a favorite for the first time since late 2022.
Among those who struggled was quarterback Bryce Young, who turned the ball over a career-high four times and showed some of the concerning signs that we saw from him early in the season prior to his benching. To be fair to him, the offensive line put together their worst performance of the season in front of him as they allowed a season-high six sacks and 15 total quarterback pressures.
Defensively, the team had absolutely no answers for the Cowboys’ running game, allowing 200+ yards for a third straight game, which has become an extremely concerning trend for a defense that has been providing more resistance as an overall unit prior to this week.
On Monday, Panthers beat writer for The Athletic Joe Person, joined the Wes & Walker Show to talk about the loss and what he thinks it could mean for Bryce Young moving forward.
