The injuries have began to add up for the Panthers after an extremely costly loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Veteran center Austin Corbett becomes the latest team leader to be declared out for the season after he tore his biceps, joining defensive tackle Derrick Brown and linebacker Shaq Thompson that will have to wait till next season to see their next action. Guys like Taylor Moton, Jadeveon Clowney and Xavier Legette are all dealing with their own upper body ailments that they sustained on Saturday and could miss some time. Meanwhile, the guys that began the season on the IR (Jonathan Brooks, Dane Jackson, Ian Thomas and D.J. Wonnum) continue to work back slower than expected from offseason injuries and Adam Thielen still has a couple of weeks before he will even be eligible to be activated.
With all of these injuries, the are some concerns starting to arise that this is going to be yet another lost season where you simply won’t be able to evaluate keys parts of this roster. Earlier today, the Wes & Walker Show, with Flounder filling in for Wes, discussed this notion and why they don’t necessarily believe that.
