We are inching closer to the NFL Draft as the countdown clock is now below 3 weeks. The Panthers have the number 8 pick, and one name linked to the Panthers is Georgia LB and Salisbury native Jalon Walker. Jalon’s dad, former All-American LB and HC for Catawba College Curtis Walker, joined Kyle Bailey to reflect on his son’s journey to this point.
One of the main talking points when it comes to Jalon Walker is whether or not he is going to be an off-ball LB or an edge rusher, and when broached on the topic, Curtis told Kyle that that he thinks he can be a Swiss army-knife for any defense, but more importantly he wants to be utilized in the best way possible to achieve his goals as both an individual player and for the team.
Curtis would go on to tell Kyle how Jalon has grown as a player under Kirby Smart at Georgia and some of his favorite memories of both of his sons playing football at Salisbury High School.
