Let’s take a closer look at one of the prospects the Panthers could select in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With the NFL Combine starting this week, we are inching ever closer to the 2025 NFL Draft. This weekly series will take a closer look at some of the prospects the Carolina Panthers could select in the 2025 iteration of the Draft. In this series, we’ll only be looking at prospects the Panthers could seriously consider. This week our profile will focus on Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle Kenneth Grant.
Grant arrived at Michigan as a 6’4”, 360 lbs athletic freak, running a sub 5.00 forty yard dash according to then Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh. He has since slimmed down to a svelte 339 lbs, improving his overall effectiveness in the trenches. His dominant showing in Michigan’s national title run in 2023 plus his equally impressive junior campaign have caused his draft stock to steadily rise. Seeing his size and athleticism combination first hand at the NFL Combine will also likely skyrocket his draft position. Grant has also shown the ability to fill up the stat sheet with TFLs, sacks, and pass deflections, not to mention the potential to block kicks.
Grant’s main weapon is his size and strength, using an elite bull rush to collapse the pocket. He also has developed some fairly sophisticated pass rushing moves. Grant is able to quickly diagnose run blocking schemes, and his quick first step allows him to reset the line of scrimmage. Another huge feather in his cap is Grant’s ability to show up big (no pun intended) in big moments. He consistently dominated against top tier competition, especially in critical moments. We’ll have to see how high he rises after the Combine, but Kenneth Walker could be in play for the Panthers at 8.
What do you think, Panthers fans? If Kenneth Grant is available when the Panthers select in the 2025 NFL Draft, should they take him? Sound off in the comments!
