Charles Barkley‘s staying with TNT’s Inside The NBA for the foreseeable future, but with the NBA season ending months ago, his hot takes have been minimal.
But thanks to a recent episode of Bill Simmon’s podcast on The Ringer, the round mound of rebound had some opinions to spout—not about the NBA, but about the WNBA.
The ladies are gearing up for the postseason in a few short weeks, and one of the biggest names that emerged from a stellar rookie year is Caitlin Clark. However, Barkley didn’t appreciate how she was treated by others in the WNBA sisterhood.
“These ladies, and I am a WNBA fan, they cannot have f-cked this Caitlin Clark thing up any worse if they tried,” Barkley told Simmons before citing that he wishes the players gathered around her more, given the amount of attention and subsequently money she’s given the league since she was still in college.

“If you got people in a room, a bunch of dudes in a room, we couldn’t have came up with a masterplan with what these women have done. This girl is incredible,” he added. “What she did in college for women’s basketball, what she’s doing in the WNBA… The number of eyeballs she brought from the college to the pros and these women to have this petty jealousness, you say to yourself, ‘What is going on here?’”
