(CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — A day out from the 2025 NFL Draft, we still don’t know who the Panthers will pick – if the team’s top choice is still available at that point.
There are many directions Carolina could go with the eighth pick Thursday night. They could ultimately trade it or pick someone to help with their defense or give quarterback Bryce Young another receiving target.
Regardless of who that is, there’s going to be pressure. Young certainly knows a thing or two about that.
Just two years ago, he was taken by Carolina as the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Although things got off to a rocky start, Young showed signs of improvement towards the end of last season. He spoke with the media earlier today, offering this advice to the rookie class of 2025.
“Just be yourself,” Young said. “You want to buy in and learn at the next level. You want to be part of the system, and do what you’re told but hold on to that individuality, whatever it is that makes you special and what got you here.”
For the record, Young didn’t say who he wanted the Panthers to draft. He said, he’ll let them handle it but welcome whoever they pick with open arms.
