Holding his father’s name, Bronny James was often touted as the second coming with impressive play in high school, but now it’s his little brother’s turn.
Bryce James,17, is still in high school, but he’s already decided that in the fall, he’ll take his talents to the University of Arizona and become an official Wildcat.

James announced the news on New Year’s Day 2025, accompanied by an edited photo of him and head coach Tommy Lloyd standing on the court while donning an Arizona uniform. The caption reads, “100% committed,” alongside emojis that symbolize the sports powerhouse’s slogan: bear down.
The middle James kid started his high school career at Sierra Canyon alongside big brother Bronny. But then he’d move to Campbell Hall, where he only stayed for three months before going to Notre Dame High School. However, he’d eventually come back around to Sierra Canyon, where it seems he’ll wrap things up before heading to college.
In 2022, a picture of LeBron, who was 6-foot-9, and a 15-year-old Bryce showed that he had hit a growth spurt and was almost his father’s height. Now, a few years later, he’s listed at 6-foot-6.
In his junior year at Sierra Canyon, he didn’t play a starting role, only averaging six points a game, but was 38.5% from beyond the arc. Back in 2018, in response to SLAM posting a then 11-year-old Bryce’s mixtape, LeBron even proclaimed that he’s “the best shooter in this household for sure!” With that potential and some development in college as a late bloomer, James could follow in the NBA footsteps of his father and older brother.
LeBron took to Instagram to post the same edited photo alongside a caption applauding his son’s college decision, writing, “ DOWN!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS MAXIMUS!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!! #JamesGang”
Bryce previously received offers from Ohio State University and Duquesne University.
