The Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton may demand a new contract again but the team may trade him instead. According to a report, the team faces a new dilemma with the wideout since they know he will not settle for just $14 million. Sutton had a problem last offseason looking for a fair raise in his contract but he may want more security in his deal depending on how the Broncos play this thing out. However, it’s very possible Denver could trade him instead as he enters the final year of his current deal at age 29 and might not be worth the risk.
There’s no word on what Sutton will do but many should expect him to request another raise or a trade if he doesn’t get his needs. Sutton was more friendlier than most wide receivers such as Tee Higgins who just received a franchise tag this offseason. Despite that, the Broncos should be in the market for a wideout either way and there are plenty that will become available for a trade such as Cooper Kupp. It’s safe to say the Broncos could take that route and cut ties with Sutton as Denver has a capable quarterback in Bo Nix to go on a deep run now in the postseason since Nix is still on a rookie deal.
Sutton was still able to put up 81 catches for 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns. While the wide receiver market will intrigue the Broncos, the team may explore the idea of trading Sutton in return for some more ferocious firepower in the aerial attack. The Chargers, Panthers may be open for a trade for Sutton’s services.

New Life in LA
Head Coach Jim Harbaugh must realize the Los Angeles Chargers are not going anywhere if they just establish a dependable ground game and defensive trenches for the organization. Quarterback Justin Herbert strives better when he’s throwing the football and Harbaugh did admit they did him a disservice in the postseason. The only way they can change things around is by getting a solid dependable pass catcher alongside rookie Ladd McConkey. Quentin Johnston might be out the door as soon as free agency opens so they will likely sign a superstar talent while adding some depth weapons behind McConkey and whoever will be the new No. 1 wideout.
Perhaps, Sutton establishing stomping grounds in Los Angeles could change the landscape for Herbert. The quarterback has one of the best arms in the league and Sutton could bring out the best in that. Sutton might not be on Tyreek Hill numbers but he’s a solid weapon to move the chains.
Finally a Capable Weapon?
The main priority for the Carolina Panthers could be the defense outlook for Derrick Brown’s return, but they still need to search for a dependable veteran wideout in the free-agent market. Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker are two fine options that make Bryce Young’s job much easier but if they want to make the playoffs, they should find another wide receiver.
Adam Thielen is at risk of being cut since he’s aging so they should trade for a younger option like Sutton. He could establish himself as the new No. 1 receiver to help open the air attack for Young.
