Welcome to Sunday Night Football
Sunday Night Football is back this week featuring two teams who aren’t having their best seasons. The Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Giants are a combined 3-7 and have nothing specific riding on the outcome of this game. All Sunday Night Football games kick off at 8:20 ET on NBC.
As always in our brave new world of expansive sports gambling, it is now easier to bet on games than to watch them. You can catch current odds on all NFL games for Week 2 here on FanDuel.
As for the game tonight, I keep thinking “this is the week they get back on track.” But with only one win against a 1-5 Carolina Panthers team, is there any reason to think they get on track this season at all? Maybe. The Bengals have one of the top scoring offenses in the NFL. The Giants have a decent defense, but are still relying on Daniel Jones to score points.
I don’t know if the Bengals are going to get their season on track versus polish off a second, equally unimpressive win. Simply put, however, if you’re asking me to bet money on Joe Burrow winning a game or Jones winning a game, I’m betting Burrow every time. That’s why I’m picking the Cincinnati Bengals tonight.
As always, use this space to talk about the action as it unfolds.
You know the drill.
This is now an open thread!
