“Flat” Canes can’t keep up with Minnesota.
(Warning: This will be a brief recap.)
It is not an easy task for an NHL hockey team to be mentally prepared for every game in an 82 game schedule and the Carolina Hurricanes had one of those games on Saturday night at the Lenovo Center.
The Canes came out flat against the Minnesota Wild and had trouble finding their game as they were shutout, 4-0.
Carolina tried to make a game of it when it appeared they scored a goal in the second period to make the score 2-1, but the goal was taken off the board due to the team being offsides before the play.
Minnesota outshot the home team, 27-21.
After recording 34 hits in the game against Florida, the team registered just 11 in this game.
The team will try to recover and be ready to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins tomorrow night.
