The Canes hope to rebound quickly after last night’s disappointing game
The Carolina Hurricanes (23-14-2) complete the back half of their back-to-back sequence as they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins (17-17-6) tonight at the Lenovo Center.
Puck drop is at 6 P.M. Eastern.
Both teams will be hungry for a win as the Canes came out flat in their game the previous night and lost to the Wild, 4-0.
The Pens have lost two games in a row.
Look for Dustin Tokarski to be in net for Carolina as they will not want to overwork goalie Pyotr Kochetkov.
Since his recall to the big club, Tokarski has a 2-1 record with a save percentage of .907 and a GAA of 2.35.
There was no morning skate today but I would not anticipate any changes from last night’s roster, other than a reshuffling of the lines.
Caniacs will be hoping for a better outcome tonight.
