Carolina’s home winning streak ends with a loss to Florida.
The Carolina nine game home winning streak came to an abrupt ending on Friday afternoon at the hands of the Florida Panthers with a 6-3 loss.
The Panthers jumped on the home team early and took a 3-1 lead in the first period.
In true Carolina fashion, the Canes made a comeback to tie the game at three before the end of two, but the Panthers would strike three more times in the third period to wrap up the game.
Goalie, Spencer Martin made 24 saves on 29 shots and ended up with the loss between the pipes.
Seth Jarvis, Sean Walker, and Eric Robinson scored the goals for the Canes.
The Hurricanes get right back to it as they finish their “back-to-back” in Florida on Saturday afternoon.
